  1. Love this approach, Alisa – God loves us, is with us, has given us all authority. Amen and amen. Good post, my friend. Visiting via #livefreeThursday.

  2. Thank you for this, Alisa. We need constant reminders . . . God is greater than every fear that tries to overcome us. I need to constantly run back to His truth to fight the ongoing messages of things I should fear. But thanks be to God, He is faithful and full of grace. Beautiful truth here! Blessings!!

    1. So true, Deb! Spending time in His word prepares me for lies and fears that try to come against me. Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful week!

  3. This is beautifully written. I often struggle with fear and anxiety. My ladies small group is about to do the Bible study Anchored by Lauren Hlushak. When we discussed it, I was so surprised that every single woman there had some form of anxiety. I love how you personalize the Bible verses- that’s something I’ll start doing, too.

Visiting from the Shine Blog hop- thank you!

    1. Leah, I was surprised at the amount of people who struggled with fear and anxiety as well! It really is one of the major tactics of the enemy. I do love to personalize scripture. I figure if I’m going to pray and declare, why not use God’s words rather than my own? There is power in His Word and it won’t come back void! I’m so glad you stopped by. Have a great week!

  4. What we all need to know. God is Sovereign. We belong to Him. Someone counted how many times God said, “Fear not.” I forget the number, but I know it was a lot. How many times does He have to say that to our heart before we catch it? A yielded heart has relinquished all rights to Him and in the yielding she find true peace. Thanks for the reminder.

    1. I have heard the same about “Fear Not” in the bible. Although I’ve never actually counted, I’ve heard it is 365 times- one for each day of the year! God does indeed always provide what we need, doesn’t He? Thanks for reading Christine!

  5. Thank you so much for this powerful reminder that God loves us, He is with us and He has given us ALL authority.
I have definitely been blessed by reading this.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  6. Wow, Alisa, and if those three amazing truths don’t help us with our fear, then truly our hearts are desiring the wrong things and we have been blinded to the value of God’s gifts.

  7. Alisa, your words and God’s truth is exactly what I needed to hear today. A few months ago fear had a field trip in my mind and life. God has been showing up in ways I didn’t think I needed anymore. Your blog was perfect and my eyes welled with the sense of divine truth. God loves me. And perhaps fear came because it wasn’t quite perfeted. How awesome this was to read even now and comforting to my soul.

    Thank you!

    1. Awww, Ashley! This warms my heart!!! I love a timely word, where God reaches down and touches right on what I need. Praying that the seeds of truth that have been planted will prosper and that fear would be defeated in your life! Have a beautiful week!

  9. Thank you for the inspiration not to fear. I am venturing out into different realms, hoping to be witness for Him. I want to write for Him. That is my goal and dream. Thank you for inspiring me to keep the vision He has given me front and center.

    1. Hey, Mary! It is so scary to venture out into the unknown, isn’t it? I’ve been stretched a lot this year. Praying that God will continue to grow you and prosper you in writing and witnessing for Him!!

  10. Great post, Alisa. I find that taping up notes everywhere helps me too. I am a visual learner. I also verbally process things better so saying the scripture out loud to myself is huge.

  11. Another reminder that God is the key: His love, His presence, His authority – sounds like a three talk retreat series to me! Thanks, Alisa.

    1. Ha! Great idea, Sue! I do need to start doing some videos….. Speaking of stepping out in the face of fear =). I look forward to seeing you in a few days!!

  12. “He didn’t just give us the ability to get through life. He gave us His authority and power to overcome…” Wow. I never thought of it that way before. We’re not just to survive, but thrive. I love this post.
    Happy Wednesday!

  13. There is power in His name! When I was little, my grandma taught me that whenever I felt afraid, all I needed to do was say the name of Jesus over and over again because His name alone makes the devil flee.

Thanks for linking up with Grace and Truth.

  14. Amen, Alisa! He has given us all authority and we need not fear! This list of truths is great! I’m always so encouraged by stopping by your site. There is always so much Biblical truth and heart encouragement to be found here. Thank you so much for joining me at #MomentsofHope! You are the BEST!
    Blessings and smiles,

  15. I love the idea of pulling out the cards from my purse. It is such a good way to remind myself of who He is over and over. Fear has become a little too comfortable in my life. Thanks for these beautiful ways to remember and acknowledge who God is.

  16. It is hard in the moment, but after wrestling with fear for years, it is such a blessing to encounter a situation and realize that in this time God has taken the fear. He is greater!

  17. Very valuable truths in this post – We have been given authority, we are NEVER alone and we are lavished with the incredible love of Jesus. Thank you for the wonderful reminders!

  18. The lyrics to Matthew West’s song Power Love Sound Mind ran through my head as I read your post: Everybody’s got their own impossible to climb…I have not been given a spirit of fear…I don’t have to give in to a spirit of fear

Fear has been such a constant in my life, but not more than God has. Always love these reminders. Thank you.

  19. I spent so much of my life letting fear hold me back. It was only understanding who I am in Christ that helped me conquer that fear! Love this post. Thank you!
