  1. Ouch – my toes were stepped on! Thank you, Alisa, for speaking His Truth! The Holy Spirit really convicted me of how “spoiled” I am and how bratty I can be when I’m inconvenienced. Wow! What an admission! Thank you for your transparency and for your sensitivity in reminding us that it truly is “all about Him”. I’m a new reader and can’t wait to read your other articles! God’s Blessings as you march onward!

    1. Thanks, Mina! It is such a hard lesson! But I do love how gentle He is in reminder to me. He always speaks truth in love. I’m so glad you came by today. I look forward to connecting more soon!

  2. This is such a great reminder that we can’t stay in our comfort zone and follow where Jesus leads. If we don’t need him, we won’t learn to rely on him.

  3. I just had a VBS meeting this morning and left wondering what on earth I signed up for! Certainly out of my comfort zone! Not because it is with children – I’m a teacher, so I am good with that – but because it is during my Spring break and I don’t want to be too busy;) But I will serve joyfully and wholeheartedly.
Thanks for sharing on Grace and Truth.

    1. I have so been there, Aimee! So many times I’ve stepped out only to say, “What was I thinking?” Praying God meets you in that place and fills you up!

  4. Thank you so much! I needed to hear this today. I am working with a small ministry God asked me to start and have been feeling overwhelmed and weary. “When we sow into others what they need, God pours into us what we need.” Amen

  5. What a wonderfully convicting message! I loved it! There have been periods in my life when I can’t help but just marvel at how God has called me to move and after the stubbornness of my heart melting away (no doubt by Him), realising that His plan was far greater than anything I could have ever imagined. Even though things aren’t always easy and don’t appear to be ‘good’ in the eyes of the world, when we step out in faith… into the unknown and refusing to let culture define our next move, it’s only then that we really live out our purpose of glorifying Him in all that we do 🙂
