Christmas is in 6 days!!!
The excitement is rising in the Nicaud household and so is the reality that there is still some last minute shopping to do. Because we are focusing on Keeping Christ in Christmas this year, I wanted to share ideas that could bring peace and rest this week.
I don’t know about you, last minute shopping for teenagers rarely brings peace for me!
They seem to be the hardest people to shop for! Because we’re friends and I want us to stay peaceful, I’m sharing some last minute Christmas ideas for your teenagers.
Flashing Light Up Sneakers– These are a MUST have. My daughter performed at church this weekend and I can’t tell you the amount of people that asked where these shoes came from. They come in black, white, red, silver or gold and have led lights that flash around the bottom. They can flash red, green, yellow, purple or blue. They are super easy to charge and seem to hold a charge for several hours. You can change them to flash one color, stay steady or rotate colors. Your teenager will thank you, trust me!
The best part? You can order them on Amazon and get them before Christmas!
Body Care- Most teenage girls I know are very into makeup, bath gels, nail polish and anything scented. I thought I’d share a few of my daughter’s favorites….
Urban Decay Naked Basics- I love this palette because she can’t go crazy with the colors. We’ve had several lessons on more is not better with makeup. She’s finally realized that truth! These neutral colors will complement most skin tones and the quality of the product is great! You can find this palette at ulta.com or sephora.com
Essie Gel Couture- My girl loves a good gel polish. It lasts longer and has a smoother coat, making her nails shiny and pretty! This one comes in 42 colors, so there’s lots to choose from. The process is super simple, making it easy for her to do her own nails. If your girl doesn’t like to do her own nails, perhaps you can grab her a gift card to the local nail salon for a mani-pedi? That would make a great stocking stuffer as well! You can find these at any local drug store like Walgreens or CVS.
Bath Bombs- Bath bombs are all the rage this Christmas and we found some that are stuffed with goodies! We’ve gotten a few bath bombs with gems inside. Cute, fun and practical….definitely my kind of gift. Our favorite is the Bling Bomb, which is stuffed with a surprise gift inside. I even got these for my little one, but it was stuffed with Shopkins inside!! You can find those here. I like these because they are made with all natural ingredients.
Bath & Body Works- Girls love good smelling bath gels. My girls were asking for lotion, bath gels and misting sprays this year. Their favorite scents are Warm Vanilla Sugar, Hello Beautiful and Magic in the Air. This time of year Bath & Body Works has all kinds of deals, so you should be able to scoop up the sets for a great price! You can visit them online at BathandBodyWorks.com or pick them up at your local Bath and Body Works store.
Nike Custom Shoes– A few years ago, I got my son a gift card to build his own Nike shoes. It was one of the best gifts he got that year. This is a very cool gift that Nike offers. You can select the style of shoe and then custom build them with the colors or designs you select. They even give an option to add text to the tongue of the shoe. (You’ll notice I put my name on the tongue to show the text). Here’s an example of what I created in just a few minutes….
The beauty of this gift is that it’s unique, and they get to play a part in creating it. Also, gift cards can be purchased last minute online and printed out to wrap or put in a stocking!
iTune Gift Cards– Every year I’ve gotten my older kids one of these as a stocking stuffer. Whether they play games or listen to music this can be redeemed through the app store and added as a credit. It’s very easy to do, I’m sure your teenager knows how to do it if you don’t! I usually get the $45 pack because it has 3 $15 cards, which I give to my three oldest kids. These can be purchased almost anywhere….Amazon.com, drug stores like CVS or Walgreens, Sam’s Club, Walmart or Target. I’ve even seen them at gas stations. If you need a last minute stocking stuffer, this may be your answer!
Wireless Sports Bluetooth Headphones– I bought these last year for my oldest son and he loved them! He said they fit perfectly snug in his ears, even when he was working out. The sound quality was good and the price was not as high as the big clunky Beats he used to have. I’m actually purchasing them this year for my second son, who needs a set of headphones. You can grab them over on amazon right now for half price! Hurry though, because they probably won’t last at that price!
I hope these have given you some ideas of last minute gifts you can purchase and be done with your Christmas shopping! I know getting my list done brings peace to my soul!
I pray that you have an awesome, Merry Christmas, full of God’s peace and rest!
Until next year =)
